Amazing Hike

"Just spent a wonderful day with Federica and Alessandro exploring the Apuan Alps. Both are amazing guides - warm, friendly and clearly know this beautiful area of Tuscany better than anyone. Even though it was an overcast day, Federica expertly navigated us through the mountains and managed to find us some breathtaking views which must be seen to be believed. They even made us fresh coffee in the hills and gave us a homemade chestnut cake (sorry Federica I can't remember the name!). Tuscany might not be best known for its hiking, but the Apuan Alps are its best kept secret and I can recommend nobody better than Federica and Alessandro to explore them with."

LA VILLA REALE

A perfect afternoon

"Met the lovely Alessandro, he was early to the meeting spot. We spent a wonderful afternoon riding out to the villas and walking around the beautiful gardens at the “royal villa”. Great stories on our ride. Ride was casual along quite local roads, river paths and through parks. We never could have figured out the route without a guide. Alessandro is a really, really nice guy."

Gorgeous bike ride

"Gorgeous bike ride on the outskirts of Lucca with a knowledgeable and helpful guide. Our family of 5 (including 3 children aged 14, 11 and 7) had a great time. Great activity for us all to see parts of Lucca we normally wouldn’t see and learn about the history and culture of the area. Highly recommend."

"This was just amazing. We had a wonderfull hike to a place untouched by anyone. The difficulty level match our skills perfecty. We had a nice lunch at a stunning place and loved the tuscan cake and freshly made coffee. I would recommend this to anyone into hikeing."

"We had an amazing time with Federica, from the time she picked us up until we were dropped off 4 hours later. If you enjoy getting beyond the city precincts with a lovely Lucchese local, into the countryside; walking through the fields and along country roads to see villas and have the extraordinary pleasure of touring a number of rooms in the gorgeous Villa Rossi; hiking up to a viewpoint overlooking Lucca and across to the Alpi Apuane; finally arriving at the local winery for a quick tour and a wine tasting accompanied by local deliciousness, don’t hesitate to take this tour. Federica is the kindest of people and gave us a very interesting time. Thanks for sharing your family’s delicious olive oil with us on the mountainside, amongst the olive trees! We loved every minute of this special experience."

Lovely tour!

“I highly recommend this bike ride. It is such a unique way to experience Lucca and Tuscany. It was nice to get away from the same thing of seeing churches and museums and see the real life museum that is the aqueduct and Tuscan countryside. Alessandro was delightful and very easy to talk to and knowledgeable. He was accommodating and prepared to help us with the bikes as needed which was much appreciated. The bikes we hired were great, comfortable and perfect for the tour, and were already booked for us on arrival which made the whole day very convenient. This was a memorable experience and great value.”

Our favourite holiday days

We did two tours, the bike ride to Puccini lake and the hike on Palmaria Island. In our holiday of 10 days in Italy we agreed that these were our favourite two days. Alessandro is friendly and laid back (in a good way) and very knowledgeable and competent. Highly recommended!

BIKE RIDE AND WINE TASTING

Alessandro had everything ready upon arrival! He took great care of us as we traveled to the beautiful winery. The food and wine were amazing!! The tour was the highlight of our visit to Lucca.
